Founder's Journey

Hi, I am Rohan, the creator of LearningWay. Like many of you, I was a Computer Science diploma student balancing a part-time job alongside my academic targets. This meant I couldn't attend college lectures regularly and had to rely entirely on self-study. Fortunately, I had a deep passion for computer science even before starting my diploma.

I wasn't a student who spent day and night cramming. Instead, I developed a structured workflow that allowed me to prepare effectively in the final days leading up to exams.

Before sitting down to study a subject, I would spend the first day or two collecting the official syllabus and filtering out the best resources. To keep everything organized, I built a personal study tracker app—which is the foundation of the StudySpace feature you see on this website today.

Instead of dealing with bulky and cluttered PDFs, I wrote all my study notes in Markdown format to maintain a clean, distraction-free reading experience. I also used AI to convert raw notes into well-structured, deep explanations (mixing English and Hinglish for readability).

Transition to a Public Platform

During the last 2-3 days before exams, I would simply open my StudySpace, build a deep understanding of the concepts, and write the exams. The best part of this method was that I never had to resort to rote-learning (ratta). Because I understood the underlying concepts, I could easily write the answers in my own words. This approach helped me pass every semester with excellent percentages and zero backlogs.

When I reached my final year, I decided to turn this personal study tracker into a public web application. I knew how much diploma students struggled with unorganized study materials. Most websites simply dump random files and PDFs, leaving the student to figure out the sequence. Having faced this struggle firsthand, I wanted to build a clean, structured platform that genuinely guides students.

Designing a production-grade application alone—handling database architecture, system workflows, SEO, and deployment—was the best way to transition from a theoretical learner into a real software engineer. Whether the website gains massive traffic or not, the hands-on system design experience I gained is something no textbook could ever teach.
